Ginger cultivation originated in South Asia, but is widespread in East Africa and the Caribbean.
It is used in cooking, medicine and perfumery, while it is also used for worship purposes.

Use ginger in cooking goes well with recipes with beef, chicken, fish, vegetables, marinades, soups, salads and of course in Asian and Chinese cuisine.

Poultry: Ginger goes well with chicken and brings aromas and flavors of Asian cuisine to our plate. Even in our favorite chicken pie, it will give a special flavor note.
Soups: Make carrot soup or a pumpkin soup and add a little grated ginger to the ingredients when sautéing. Also make a fantastic chicken soup by adding a little ginger powder as you will sauté the onion and garlic in the oil, if you add, or alternatively, as soon as you add the broth.
Meat: For exotic flavors, you can make beef with ginger, a dish quite popular in Asian countries. Another option is pork, try this marinade: 2 tbsp. ginger, 1 tbsp. tsipouro, 2 tbsp. soy sauce and 2 tbsp. garlic paste, adding the marinade at the end and serve with rice or sauteed vegetables.
Sweets and Jams: Ginger can be added to sweets, it is an ingredient that gives a special taste. The sweet pumpkin pie is the best proof. Alternatively, use it in cakes such as chocolate apple cakes, gingerbread, and even white chocolate or cereal cookies. Finally in jams, making a strawberry jam with various spices, you will find out how much the strawberry loves ginger.
